While Neurofeedback is more concerned with symptoms than the actual diagnosis it may be easier to consider this form of therapy based upon whether the following disorders are present.
We had our son who is two evaluated because of behavior issues that were not age appropriate and were causing such damage to our family life. We heard this term “Sensory Integration” and couldn’t believe what we were being told. As a family we decided to explore this type of therapy and figured what could it hurt. We was so unhappy and angry, we were willing to try anything except medication! In three months we have been amazed at the transformation in our son, he is happy, calm, plays independently and socially he plays so well with other children. It has brought us together as a family, the blame of “you’re a stay at home mom, why is his behavior so bad” has stopped. We know how to help him when he needs it. Our time here has changed our life on the most positive ways.
